Mary Lawson Foreman Emergency Program
Named for murdered community activist Mary Foreman, Casa Myrna's emergency shelter can accommodate up to 10 women and 13 children who have been made homeless by domestic violence. While in the program, they have access to all of Casa Myrna’s supportive services. After completing initial assessments, women work with agency staff and community-based service providers to plan their next steps. Maximum length of stay is 6 months, although no woman will be asked to leave if she has not found a safe housing option. Most women move on to a transitional living program while they continue to search for permanent housing.
