If you are one of many people who do not have sufficient resources to maintain a suitable life style and you are a Cape Coral resident, you may qualify for help from the Cape Coral Caring Center. To receive food assistance, all you need is a valid Cape Coral driver's license or Florida ID. This support consists of money, and food which is then used to assist clients in need.

Basic assistance consists of:
Food items
Electric bill assistance (when funds are available)
Referrals to other agencies

Cape Coral Caring Center is a nonprofit organization that meets IRS code 501(c)(3) tax deductible contributions, and was created in 1990 by the Cape Coral Ministerial Association. Since then, over 70,000 people have received short-term help within the Cape Coral community.
