Austin Street Center

Since 1983, Austin Street Centre has been at the forefront of helping the homeless and poor of Dallas and surrounding areas. Now, a nationally recognized therapeutic community, we provide emergency shelter, food, showers, clothing, medications, counseling, and job training programs free of charge to those who come here. More than 425 men, women and children receive safe shelter here each night. More than 100 participate in our highly effective step-up programs, including substance abuse counseling, psychotherapies, and psycho-social counseling. These counseling services, all free of charge, are in partnership with UT Southwestern Medical School and the University of North Texas.
